Good interest generated by impressive 15m centre swath Kverneland rake

Following a national programme of demonstrations the Kverneland rake has proven it can meet the demands of professional operators. Especially those who require a variable width machine with the ability to adjust to suit the conditions with a consistent swath for following machines.

The Kverneland 97150C, with 15m maximum working width, is a machine designed for high output. It is a heavy-duty rake, with a very substantial capacity and adjustable working and swath width that can be easily changed during work. Four rotors with up to 15 tine arms ensure a perfect raking performance in all conditions.
The Advantages:
•    Hydraulic ground pressure adjustment of the front rotors whilst on the move to deal with varying conditions
•    Maintenance-free ProLine oil bath gearbox
•    Hydraulic adjustment of working width between 9.8 and 15m
•    Adjustable cam tracks on all 4 rotors
•    Hydraulic adjustment of the rotor height.
•    Hydraulic steering on wheel axles for excellent manoeuvrability
•    Clever folding mechanism, allowing the rake to go below 4m without removing tine arms
•    ISOBUS Control
•    Auto Swath control for consistently shaped swath in any paddock via the GEO Rake System.

Mike Griffiths of Power Farming said, “We currently have a demo unit working around the South Island. We are finding the features of the 97150c are suiting New Zealand conditions really well. The pivot ruts here in Canterbury have always been hard on any rake. But the hydraulic ground pressure, and the ability to change easily between preset pressures on the move, makes it very simple to set up.

The impressive working range means we have been able to keep all following machines happy in a wide range of conditions. As for operating the rake the controls are very simple and nicely laid out to make the operators life as easy as possible.”
